little un-discoverable post to mention my friend Daniel recently joined the site! I've been recruited with beta reading/editor~ing his posts so you might see my style of commas pop up over there lol. he'll chitchat about tabletop RPGs as well so you might get his point of view of games we play together!
as always I'm loathe to make a post only one thing, so, random recommendation: here's an ukrainian producer's (not-)vocaloid cover of a russian post-punk love song
I like that the vocal synthetizer is tuned to sound pretty realistic - like an autotuned human more than an electronic parrot, which is a stylistic choice I like in some cases, mind you - but the sweet and clear, doll-like vocals mix very pleasantly with the grungy synthetic guitar instrumentals - and both things together express the cynical, cruel sweetness of the translated lyrics very well!
I don't listen to eastern european post-punk very often but I really should - I tend to really like the music when I do listen to it. it's on my list
I also chose this song because Daniel likes post-punk a whole lot, when I told him I'd found this cover he recognized the band that made it lol
& yes, this post is the silly reason I wanted to get my previous one out soonish lol. hopefully nobody minds the double-posting, I think it's normal to do such a thing on this platform
